Communication
One of the biggest concerns for the team, both on and off the track, is communication. The communications between parents, players and coaches is so very crucial to the success of the team and the individual players. We will communicate via phone calls, text messages, emails and posting news items on Edline. But the success of practices, races, and other events hinge on successfully communicating with each other. Practices
Commitment to excellence and safety
I expect players to want to be the best and not be satisfied with mediocrity. This should be reflected as much in school as on the track.
Attendance
I expect players to attend, at the minimum, 90% (with some exceptions) of the practices held, including team meetings, conditioning practices, meets, etc. In the event that a player cannot attend a team activity, I would like to be informed the day before the activity from which he/ she will be absent.
- Exceptions will be made for illnesses and emergencies and predetermined circumstances (another sport, the play, etc).
- The consequences for unexcused absences will be a team decision and will be discussed on a need be basis.
